About KAP Training

We are committed to training the next generation of psychedelic therapists and clinicians. Polaris Insight Center strives to contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practice and research in the field of psychedelic-assisted therapies.

Polaris Insight Center opened in 2018 as one of the first Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy clinics.

As our clinic grew, we saw a need for clinician training in KAP. In 2020, we held our first online training, which has now evolved into 15 modules, in-person experiential retreats, and KAP consultation, with over 2,000 clinicians trained through our program.

Our trainers share a deep interest in and have a broad range of experience working with the psychotherapeutic potential of expanded states of consciousness.

Through our didactic and experiential training program, we are committed:

  • To the integration of innovative and traditional methods of psychotherapy
  • To the ethical and compassionate clinical use of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
  • To cultivating clinical skills and expertise for the next generation of psychedelic therapists and clinicians

Our founding members are all MAPS (Multi-disciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) trained clinicians who have provided treatment in both Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD. The lead trainers have studied with Ketamine Training Center and KRIYA Institute.

The highlights of the training for me were group work, leader Integrity, and community connection. I gained the ability to better understand the spectrum of responses when working with KAP and learned that group work can have profound implications on healing. I've learned that music matters, intentions matter, space matters, safety matters, compassion matters. I feel lucky to have fallen into the Polaris trainings when there are so many different options out there now. Polaris leaders hold space for the smaller groups and run their trainings with impeccable integrity and professionalism.

I enjoyed so many things about this training, and especially how each presenter shared their unique perspectives on working with NOSCs, individual cases/stories; the presenters all offered many valuable insights gained from their experiences. I’ve become much more attentive to being fully present, and attending to all of my clients’ communication about their inner experience. I learned more about the value of my own healing (and unhealed parts) in joining and engaging with others who are seeking to connect more deeply with their true nature. I deeply appreciate all that Polaris is doing to build and support a community of healing!
