Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Training Program

We provide live, online didactic trainings and in-person experiential retreats in KAP

Virtual Training

These programs are designed to provide interested physicians, psychologists, therapists, nurses, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals with principles and procedures of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in a clinical setting.

We offer live, online didactical training in Fundamental, Advanced, and Special Topics in KAP. Most practitioners benefit from taking our Modules in sequence. The professional development acquired in our training program builds progressively upon each previous Module’s knowledge and skills.

Module 1 is a prerequisite for any of the other modules in the Foundational Series. If you’ve attained Introductory KAP Training from another training provider and would like to get the Module 1 prerequisite waived, please contact us at training@polarisinsight.com with more details.

These Modules are live webinars via Zoom. Full-day trainings are from 9am to 5pm Pacific Time Zone. Half-day Modules (Music, Medical, ACT) either begin at 8am or 9am Pacific. Please refer to the individual Module page for more information.

Training Module FAQs

What is the format of the training?

All trainings are live webinars via Zoom with a mix of didactic teaching, small group discussion, and Q&As. You can also ask live questions to the presenters. There are breaks throughout the day as well as a lunch break.

Can I receive CE Credits for the modules?

Yes. Licensed clinicians, doctors, social workers, nurses, etc. may receive CE credits. You must have a current license (CE credits cannot be awarded "in advance" if you are working on licensure or planning on becoming licensed in the future) to receive credits through the American Psychological Association or the Spiritual Competency Academy (for nurses). The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.

Clinicians from states other than California need to check with their state licensing board for approval.

Do I have to be a therapist to take the training?

This training is focused on working with ketamine in the context of psychotherapy, and our trainees are mostly LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, PsyDs, PhDs, MDs, NDs, DOs, RNs and chaplains.

Do I have to take Module 1 before taking the other modules?

If you have not worked with KAP or had other training similar to ours (PRATI, KTC, Sage), it is important to attend Module 1, as that is the stepping stone in our training and explains dosing, protocol, ketamine effects, and types of ketamine experience. Module 1 will familiarize you with the structure of the session and the guiding principles we use.

I did another KAP training, can I skip Module 1?

We will accept trainings from PRATI, KTC, Kriya, and Sage, as they are other KAP training centers. For clinicians who have gone through MAPS, we do ask that you take Module 1, as the MAPS training is not specific to ketamine in terms of history, dosing, protocol, steps in the session and integration challenges.

Are the modules recorded?

All trainings are live webinars via Zoom and are not recorded. You will have access to materials and presentations in your Module Dashboard.

Can I register a group?

Yes you may. Please fill out the registration form at training.polarisinsight.com/group-registration.
